About the team

Welcome to DANAmark Solidaritet

We are an association founded with the purpose of supporting the victims of the catastrophic floods that took place on October 29, 2024, in Valencia.

Why DANAmark?

DANA stands for "Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos," which in Danish can be translated as "Isoleret Lavtryksområde i Høje Niveauer." It is a meteorological phenomenon that caused the extensive flooding in Spain. We decided to "play" a little with "DANA" and "Danmark" to create the name DANAmark Solidaritet, symbolizing our dedication to helping the victims of the DANA in Valencia through a strong sense of community and support from Denmark.
